Happy Spring Mysteria! We've got lots of opportunities for participants to step up and be an integral part of building Transformus 2009. There are chances for artists to receive grant money, we need a design for our tickets, effigy and temple, as well as opportunities for you to get involved in the leadership group as a Team Lead.

Event Dates ********************************************************************************************

Transformus will again be held at Deerfields outside of Asheville, North Carolina Friday, July 17 through Monday, July 20, 2009. Specific gate times and early entry requirements will be posted closer to the event.

Open Call for Team Leads ****************************************************************************

We need Team Leads and Co-Leads to help organize and run Transformus 2009. Whether you've helped in the past or are a newcomer to our leadership group, all are welcome to apply. Specific help needed immediately for experienced web teamers - Jace has been doing a fantastic job, but we do want the poor boy to have a life, and things are about to get very busy - the more people we have helping the smoother and prettier the flow of information will be. Call outs for general event volunteers will be solicited over the coming months and into the event itself once team leads have been established. Please be on the lookout for more opportunities to get involved and urge your fellow participants to do the same. It's up to each of you what kind of Mysteria we together build in 2009. Want kickass art and another amazing effigy? Step up and make it happen.

Ticket Allocation ***************************************************************************************

Those of you who qualified for a first tier ticket, should have already snail mailed your money orders, via the instructions you received, postmarked by April 1. Reminder: a proper dated SASE was required. Hand deliveries to personal residences will not be accepted. Mismatches between information in your profile and information on your money order and SASE will delay/disqualify processing of tickets. (i.e. If your information does not match our list of who qualified and we can not verify who you are, your payment will not be processed.)

Tickets not purchase/allocated will be allotted to those next in line.

Tier Two allocation will begin shortly after April 12 (to allow for adequate processing time of Tier One tickets) and recipients notified with payment instructions via their registered email. Any invites not paid for and postmarked by April 1st will be redistributed to the next people in the queue.

Tier Three allocation date has not yet been established. After all critical infrastructure needs have been met, any remaining tickets, along with any unclaimed tickets from prior tiers, will again be offered to the next people in the queue by way of registration at Transformus.com – up to this year's attendance cap of 1750 individuals.

If you haven’t done so already, register on the website and be sure to indicate that you are interested in being eligible for tickets – remember, not everyone who requests tickets will actually request them… so your place in line is vital. REGISTER TODAY!

(PLEASE NOTE: Physical Tickets will NOT be mailed until early June to allow time for adequate and proper allocation of Tier 1, 2, 3 and Critical Infrastructure tickets – in the meantime, if you are concerned about whether your payment was received, you can use the tracking number information from your money order to verify that your money order has been processed. We will notify the community when tickets have been mailed so that you will know when to be on the lookout for them.)

Town Hall Meeting & Work/Play Weekend**********************************************************

A Transformus Town Hall meeting will be held Saturday April 25th at Deerfields (please stay tuned for additional information, and visit the website for further details… including possible gate closing times). Ranger training will be offered earlier that day and we’ll host a Town Hall at 5 p.m. where everyone gets a chance to speak. Bring something for the potluck that evening and join your fellow Mysterians around the fire on Saturday night. A work/play weekend is also on the horizon potentially in June. Again, see the website and wait for further information about both events.

 Creativity Grants Deadline Approaching ***********************************************************

The Transformus Board of Directors has generously allotted $10,000 towards Creativity Grants, our effigy, and this year's temple. Artists are the rock stars of our world and we want to ensure another year of fabulous creativity through proper funding. Our Creativity Grant jury is made up entirely of community members and they have total control over who gets what money. 2009 Ticket Design Details (Extended Deadline)**************************************************

It’s time to get those creative juices flowing! The deadline for expressing interest in designing this year's ticket has been extended to April 15 and we want you to be a part of making this happen. Can you draw, design, or do you have a photo that would make for a great ticket design? Then get to work or collaborate with others and send us those designs. All submissions received by April 15 will be presented online and the winner selected by open community vote. What is Transformus?

Transformus is the Southeast Regional Burn, it is an Arts, Gifts, & Music festival and general happening unlike anything ever seen in these parts.

When is Transformus?

July; 17th, 18th and 19th 2009

Where is it Located?

Transformus is held at Deerfields, a 940 acre tract of unspoiled mountain wilderness near Asheville NC.

How does it all work?
